My dad, Harry Field Dole Jr, served in WW2 quite proudly, and took a number of photos.  In this article we see his shots from a Bob Hope tour to the South Pacific.

The film advance mechanism didn’t work so well on the following shot, or perhaps Dad was a bit anxious.  Nice ladder.

Starting the show.  Bags over microphones.

Wet from the kneecaps down and still giving a good show.  Bags on mikes now taped, plus hat.

Seems the humidity was a tad high for the show.  Smiles all around, though.  Good to be alive.

No hat needed given her hair is still standing.  Smile is sure lighting up that end of the runway.
